About

Doerr Insurance, formerly Renter Agency, has been serving the Plainview community since 1986, when Warren Renter started the agency from his home, specializing in hail insurance for local farmers. In the 1990s, the agency expanded its offerings to include Multi-Peril Crop Insurance (MPCI) through federal programs, and in 2001, Warren established a dedicated office in town to better serve clients.

In 2007, our current managing agent, JoBeth Doerr, joined the agency, bringing her expertise and commitment to customer service, which helped guide the agency’s continued growth. After Warren sold Renter Agency to Frontier Insurance in 2012, the team expanded further with the addition of Brian Ziems in 2019, strengthening the agency’s knowledge and client relationships.

In October 2023, Frontier Insurance joined INSight Partners, and the agency was rebranded as Doerr Insurance, recognizing JoBeth’s leadership, long-standing impact, and investment in the business. That same year, Riley Doerr joined the team, supporting both crop and property & casualty services and enhancing day-to-day operations.
